Rev. Kent Shrader has directed Mount Shepherd Retreat Center full-time since 1989.  He is a “Certified Camp Director” of the American Camp Association and has received certification in camp and retreat ministries from the United Methodist Church.  Kent has a Master of Divinity Degree from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology in Atlanta and is a fully ordained minister of the United Methodist Church.  He and his wife, Robin, live on-site with their adopted cats “Buster”, "Ginny", "Lucy" and "Dash".
