Overnight retreats

Mount Shepherd is open year round for group events. We have sleeping and meeting space for groups with as many 120 people. Mount Shepherd can also offer full-scale meal service for the duration of your group's event. 

During the summer on select weeks, Mount Shepherd is available for weekly rentals.

Day events

Are you looking for a central location to host your event? Look no further. Mount Shepherd is within 2 hours of MORE THAN HALF of North Carolinians! Our site is an ideal venue for single day gatherings during the weekdays (and on select weekends). Whether your group is driving in from Raleigh, Charlotte, Greensboro or just down the road in Asheboro, we would love to host your event!

We are happy to work with you in developing a program, or we can let you run the show! We can also provide full-scale food service or help you arrange for catering. 

Team Building​

Mount Shepherd has a low ropes initiative course, in addition to a high ropes course. The Mount Shepherd staff is trained in facilitating group bonding and team building experiences. This can happen with just a day event, or as part of a larger multi-day event. 

​We are open to serving ministry groups, school groups, sports teams and other community organizations.

Personal Retreats

Mount Shepherd is glad to open its facilities to ministry professionals who are seeking a personal retreat. Depending on availability, pastors and other ministry staff/volunteers may stay at the facilities at no cost.

In addition to a place to sleep, guests on personal retreats are invited to utilize the 543 acres of trails and woods for quiet prayer and meditation.

Reservations are made on a first-come-first-serve basis. To reserve your space, you must submit all reservation forms and a deposit of at least 50% the total balance of your group's retreat. 

Credit card payments will have a 2% convenience fee added to payment amount.
