​Christina Gibbs, Executive Director 

Christina returned to Mount Shepherd as the Executive Director January 2024. She had previously served as the Program and Assistant Director from 2019 to 2022. She is passionate about camp and retreat ministry and loves for all people to come to camp and have the opportunity to experience renewal and growth. 

She is married to JJ, who is the Director of Youth Ministry and Contemporary Worship at First UMC High Point, and they have a daughter named Maylin. They enjoy spending time with friends, visiting new places, and playing board games. 

Cindy Hayes, Office manager

Cindy Hayes joined the staff at Mount Shepherd Retreat Center as the Office Manager in October 2019. Her husband is Jason, and they have a daughter, Sydney, who is in the 11th grade. In her free time, Cindy enjoys game nights and spending time with her family and friends, as well as cooking and singing in the praise band at church.

Bryce Foland, Kitchen & Housekeeping Manager

Bryce joined the full time staff at Mount Shepherd in August in 2024. Before joining our full time staff, Bryce served several years as a summer and seasonal staffer. When Bryce is not a camp he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Jihan, and their dog.  

Kayla Martin, Program Director 

Kayla joined the staff at Mount Shepherd in September of 2024. She enjoys life with her daughter Natalie, her dog Silas, and her cats, Suki and Opal. Kayla is thrilled to have joined Mount Shepherd and looks forward to working with the many guests that visit year-round. Kayla is most excited about working with campers and their families to prepare them for an amazing summer with us!   

Jerry Robbins, Maintenance 

Jerry joined the staff at Mount Shepherd in the summer of 2020 and has played a vital role in keeping the site in top shape! In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Sharon and their grandchildren!
