Josh Britton, Executive DirectorJosh Britton was hired as the Executive Director of Mount Shepherd in 2016. Josh is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. He’s married to Erin, who is a speech pathologist for Asheboro City Schools, and they have three beautiful children. Josh's family LOVES Asheboro--the scenery, the zoo, the schools, the restaurants, and of course, the people. Josh is passionate about camp and retreat ministry. In fact, it was while serving at a summer camp that Josh met Erin and discerned God's calling into ministry. They enjoy camp life, hiking, and Appalachian State Football.

Cindy Hayes, Office AdministratorCindy Hayes joined the staff at Mount Shepherd Retreat Center as the Office Administrator in October 2019. Her husband is Jason, and they have a daughter, Sydney, who is in the ninth grade. They live in Asheboro along with their dog, Sophie, and cat, Tuscany. In her free time, Cindy enjoys game nights and spending time with her family and friends, as well as cooking and singing in the praise band at church.

Tiffany mcarthur, kitchen managerTiffany McArthur has served as Kitchen Manager since 2022. She is honored to be part of the Mount Shepherd community.
Tiffany is a mother of three and a grandmother to one sweet little boy. Having been raised by her grandmother, cooking has always been a joyful passion for her. She enjoys spending time with family, arts and crafts, and taking care of her fur-babies. |
Austin Hadden, Program DirectorAustin is a lifelong United Methodist (This is the 6th UMC Camp he's worked at!). He graduated from Florida State in 2018 with a degree in Recreation, Tourism, Events. Austin is in charge of the program experiences at Mount Shepherd. This includes managing our adventure elements and our waterfront year round. In the summer, Austin runs the camps, managing a staff of about 25. He is developing an environmental education program.

I love the immense impact that camps and retreats can have on the lives of ALL people that step foot on property, and I'm enthusiastic to be a part of the ministry of Mt. Shepherd. When not working at camp I enjoy hiking, canoeing/rafting, and eating dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets. I can't wait to meet and serve all those who come to Mt. Shepherd!" |
