Camp Mount Shepherd, located in Asheboro, NC is a Christian camp where kids come to have an unforgettable week. Our highly trained staff of college-aged Christians lead our campers through a week of adventure and faith development. 
Mount Shepherd partners with Prison Fellowship to provide opportunities so that your child(ren) can attend summer camp at little cost. To be eligible for this scholarship, your child(ren) must be between the age of (6-18) and have a parent or stepparent who is incarcerated. Each camper that comes to Mount Shepherd through Angel Tree will need to complete the Angel Tree scholarship form. Please follow this link to fill out the scholarship form. Once your form is completed our office will contact you about finishing the registration process.

Why Mount Shepherd?

"As a custodial grandparent of a pre-teen grandson, I strive to find summer activities for this young man. What a blessing to discover the Mount Shepherd Summer Camp! I do believe the experiences he enjoyed at the camp will be life-long. All of the staff are extremely welcoming to parents/guardians, as well as to each camper. The Counselors seem to know exactly what each camper needs. They are never intrusive, but somehow the bonding that occurs seems to be a long-lasting thing. One of the great things was the Bible sessions, along with being given their own Bible. He and I have had some great discussions since then, talking about Jesus, God, searching out the Bible to see what it says about things.
