Camp Mount Shepherd’s Day Camp serves children from across many communities in Central North Carolina. Weekly activities include canoeing, zip line, swimming, arts and crafts, and much more! Day Camp allows children to experience a wide variety of activities and adventures. These are used as tools to enhance a camper’s self-esteem, confidence and ability to interact with others. Children will be placed in appropriate age groups where they will play and work together in a positive atmosphere. Well-trained staff members will stay with them. Our goal is to ensure a safe, positive environment where your child will continue to learn and grow physically, mentally, and spiritually all summer long.

Financial assistance

As a part of our mission, Mount Shepherd is committed to making camp possible for ALL children, regardless of financial resources. We encourage camp families to reach out to their local church to request financial support. The application for scholarships must be completed while registering your camper. Once your camper is successfully registered your scholarship application will be processed. Please allow 7 business days for a response.  Scholarship applications will not begin being processed until February 15, 2023.

drop-off/pick-up information

The day camp program runs from 9 to 4 every day. Children may be dropped off between 8 and 9.
​Campers may be picked up between 4 and 5:30 each day. Earlier drop-offs or later pick-ups may only be arranged in advance. 

Families will be notified of more specific logistical information after registering, but prior to attendance.
