This summer, Camp Mount Shepherd will be offering middle and high school adventure camps! Our adventure program is blended with our weeklong overnight camp and an outdoor excursion experience. Our campers will enjoy two full days backpacking and exploring the natural gifts of the Uwharrie National Forest, a full day canoeing trip, and two days on site doing various camp activities. Campers will be encouraged to venture outside of their comfort zone while also growing closer to God. Join us for this new and exciting adventure!
Our overnight camp is our hallmark program. Campers will stay from Sunday afternoon to Friday afternoon, sleeping in cabins, roasting marshmallows, and singing campfire songs. Days are spent swimming and playing in our 2.5 acre lake, hiking on our 543 acre property, doing archery, playing gaga ball, solving team challenges, and so much more! Campers are by gender and age-specific cabins. Cabin groups are paired to form family groups, with whom your camper will spend the week.
Middle and High School campers will have added adventure, with activities that include climbing, ropes courses, and an overnight campout in the woods!
This summer Mount Shepherd is partnering with Angel Tree Camping to offer an experience of a lifetime! Any child that is a part of the Angel Tree Program is eligible to come to our overnight camps, including mini camp, at no cost to families!
Ages rising 1st- rising 9th grade
Campers must also submit an application to Angel Tree to be considered for camp. Please fill out the application at the link below after you have completed the Mount Shepherd registration process.

This week-long training program is an opportunity for high school students to gain skills in working with children. We train participants in leadership principles, childcare techniques, food service skills, and countless games. After this week of training, LITs are invited to volunteer at least one other week during our summer program.
Our day camp helps your kid exchange screen time for sunshine. We get in the water every day, whether it’s our swimming pool or our lake. We hike around the property and enjoy games, fishing, arts and crafts, songs and devotions. We provide a solid lunch and a snack each day. Drop-off is between 8 and 9 each morning, while pickup is between 4 and 5:30.
