The Hope of Eastside goes to camp

Mount Shepherd is a Christian summer camp located off Highway 64 nine miles west of Asheboro. Each summer, Mount Shepherd provides overnight and day camp programs for children. Mount Shepherd aims to create an inclusive environment where every child feels a sense of belonging, and where every child experiences challenges and adventure! Mount Shepherd and The Hope of Eastside are partnering in summer 2022 to offer summer camp for the children of Asheboro's Eastside! Thanks to some generous donations, this program is absolutely FREE for families. This partnership invites children from the Eastside to join into Mount Shepherd's program filled with outdoor adventures. 

Our hope is that this partnership offers children a unique opportunity to grow socially, mentally, physically and spiritually. Camp brings together children from all backgrounds and creates a unique community apart from all the normal distractions and burdens of life.

​​​To take advantage of this opportunity follow these simple steps:

1. Fill out the registration form below
2. Upon completing this registration form, Mount Shepherd will create an account on its registration website. Mount Shepherd will email you a link with a username and password. On this account, you can keep up with all the details of camp (including pictures each day). 
3. Complete the necessary health forms and waivers on the registration website.
4. Drop off your campers when it's time for camp
5. Pick them up and learn how much they've grown! 

transportation Details

Mount Shepherd has a 15 passenger bus with which be driving campers from Asheboro to camp. Families are welcome to take advantage of this opportunity, and families are also welcome to arrange for private transportation to camp. 

For Overnight Camp (June 26-July 1)
Families are welcome to drop their camper off on Sunday, June 26. They may drop off at Mount Shepherd at 3pm or at the Eastside Park at 2pm.

For Day Camp (July 11-15)
Mount Shepherd will pick up campers at the George Washington Carver Center at 8am and return them to the Carver Center at 5PM each day July 11-15. Families are also welcome to do pick-ups and drop-offs at Mount Shepherd.
